I found some (not cool) messages buried in an inbox for spam or blocked users. It reminded me we all need a place to go to pour out our hearts and there are some things we cannot always handle. So where do we go and what do we do when we face things we can’t handle?

People Pleasing is NOT Loving
For years I believed that seeking to please people was kind and loving. I was shocked to find out that my efforts to do so often had a selfish motive.
“Why, God?”
Sometimes I ask, “why, God?” I don’t know if He has ever answered that prayer. Here’s a couple things to do and a better prayer to pray when asking, “why, God?”
“Burn It Down”
“It’s not right!” He stuck a pack of matches in his pocket, jumped on his bike and pedaled for 6 miles to the mans barn. He was gonna burn it down. Imagine the repercussions of a young black male burning down a white farmer’s barn in the 60’s.
I HATE YOU!! (but we stuck like glue)
“I HATE YOU.”
The irony of unforgiveness is that you chain yourself to something in the past that you never wanted to go back to. Those who annoy or anger you the most and for the most specific reasons are the ones you probably should be praying for the most today.
The Fury of Curry… . and Bob the Baller
Michael Jordan and Steph Curry both win, have a killer instincts on the court and defeat their opponents but one was driven by anger and one is motivated by joy. If joy is your strength, then your load bearing capacity is directly related to your joy level.
